Hana Vave: The Northernmost Bay on Fatu Hiva's West Coast
Hana Vave is the name of the northernmost bay on the west coast of Fatu Hiva in French Polynesia. It is a beautiful bay with a white sand beach, crystal clear waters, and lush green vegetation. The bay is surrounded by steep cliffs and cascading waterfalls, making it a breathtaking sight to behold.
We anchored our boat in Hana Vave and spent a few days exploring the area. We hiked to the top of the cliffs, where we had stunning views of the bay and the surrounding islands. We also took a swim in the crystal clear waters and snorkeled around the coral reefs. The snorkeling was amazing, and we saw a variety of colorful fish and coral.
Hana Vave is a truly special place. It is a place of incredible beauty and tranquility. We highly recommend visiting Hana Vave if you are ever in the Marquesas Islands.
